Westendorf is part of the ski area SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser
- Brixental.
Kirchberg is part of the ski area Kitzbühel.
The gondola in Westendorf " Ki-West" connects both ski resorts.
For 2008/2009 there is a new gondola being constructed that will link
Brixen to Westendorf (the link has previously been provided by the ski
bus). This gondola will make the ski region the third largest interconnected

Skiing
Skier or non skier Westendorf has something for everyone.
For the beginner and intermediate there are two ski schools to choose
from, both
offering a high standard of instruction, at the same time making your
holiday fun and exciting and one to remember! For the more advanced
skiers some challenging off piste skiing.

Snowboarding
For snow boarders Westendorf has a snow boarders fun park complete with half
pipe, which is sure to thrill the avid fiends for hours on end.

Length: approx.30 km
Difficulty: blue to red, beginner to intermediate
Grooming: 2 cross-country ski trails, 1 wide skating track
Description: - Cross-country trail with skating track connecting villages
along the whole Brixen Valley. Access points in the villages of Kirchberg,
Brixen im
Thale and Westendorf. The network of trails has connections in the direction
of Kitzbühel/Reith. Groomed daily!

Hochbrixen Alpine Trail
Length: 4.5 km
Grooming: 1 cross-country trail, 1 wide skating track
Accessibility: Hochbrixen gondola
Open: throughout the winter season
Level of difficulty: blue, beginner
Special Features: - The cross-country ski trail is situated right in the SkiWelt
Wilder Kaiser ski resort and offers amazing views of the surrounding mountains.
Ideal for training purposes.

Westendorf - Toboggan Run
Westendorf's toboggan run is 7.5 km long and starts from the top of the mountain
at Talkasar and runs through the natural paradise of the Windau Valley.
A great way to see the picturesque surroundings. The run takes you past
the Fleidingalm
restaurant whereafter you'll have an excillerating run of swift turns and
bends until you reach Schrandlhof. From here you can get on a regular taxi-bus
back
to the village free of charge (runs between 1 pm and 5 pm on the hour ).
Or if you want to sit a bit longer and enjoy your well earned drink then
just
call a taxi. Organised Toboggan Trips with
the Tourist Office.
As well as the Westendorf toboggan run there are 2 other excellent toboggan
runs in the Ski Welt - Soll and Going. Both provide excellent fun and
you could perhaps combine this with an evening meal up the mountain.
