Mountain biking

Hiking / Mountaineering

Breathtaking views, mountain huts for lunch, fantastic weather – just some of what is on offer here in Westendorf. Take the gondola up the mountain and walk the peeks, or wander down the mountain paths enjoying a tyrolean lunch on the way. Or maybe its just to relax and sunbathe at the top of the mountain.

Once again you could join in an organised trip with the tourist office or plan a route yourself. Walks are well signposted and maps are available to help you on your way.

Once again breathtaking scenery with the wind on your face. Use Westendorf as a base to ride through the Austrian mountains – Over Pass Thun or visit the Krimml Falls or check out the highest mountain in Austria – the Grossglockner.

Westendorf large outdoor swimming pool complex is set among breathtaking mountain scenery. The complex has 3 pools including slides, a children's paddling pool and large changing / shower rooms and a relaxing cafe with sunny terrace. Sun umbrellas available to hire.

Alpinolino – Children's Discovery Park on the Mountain

Children are welcomed when they get off the gondola by the little “Smart Alec“ at the Alpinolino Park. who then guides them through the exciting Alpine scenery around the Choralpe, where there hides many a tricky puzzle. A great way for Children to learn and discover nature. There are many stations along an approximate 1.5 km circuit path. Here you can test your senses of smell and taste, observe the marmots, measure your furthest jump or time a sprint. Experience with your eyes, ears, nose and hands e.g. the biotope, rope bridge, tree house, adventure playground, bio bouncy castle and much more.
