General advice on arranging your winter holiday

Pension Christoph is situated 100m from the nursery slopes and is ideal for families and beginners. The more advanced skiers can take the chair on the nursery slope and ski across to the gondola to go up the mountain to over 1800m. from here you can ski the Westendorf region or ski over to Brixen or Kitzbuehel.
After enjoying the slopes it is possible – conditions permitting to ski to the Pension. If not it is only a 100m walk back to the Pension from the piste.

Lift passes, ski hire and ski schools can be organised on arrival. Don’t panic thinking you have to book it all before you get here. Even if you arrive late in the evening it is still possible to arrange everything in the morning. Ski school / assessment will be at 9-45 and so there is time to pick up skis and boots before you go to ski school.

A beginner in ski school doesn't need to buy a lift pass until the instructor advises them to. One good thing about Westendorf is if you are a beginner then you might not need a pass till later on in the week – and only then a cheaper points card. You will not be doing too many runs and it may only be later in the week you might need a full pass.

For people who can ski there is the Ski Welt pass or the Kitzbuehel Pass the latter gives you access to the Kitzbuehel region as well as the Ski Welt region – but it is more expensive. There is plenty of skiing to be done in the Ski Welt region of Westendorf and Brixen so this pass will save you money. Should you decide to want to spend a day or 2 skiing in Kitzbuehel then a supplement for the Ski Welt pass can be purchased before you ski over there.

Ski schools are starting to teach children to ski from the age of 3 and they are very well looked after. Children can be looked after by the ski school at lunchtime if necessary to allow you to ski up the mountain or for you to ski with your ski group if you are having lessons. Instructors take into account that parents often have children to pick up at the end of the day and instructors remain with the children until you arrive to collect them.
